Love Your Streets ~ #Do1NiceThing is an initiative of various Christian organisations working in partnership with other faith and non-faith organisations with a vision to help people think and act towards others in a positive way! Love Your Streets ~ #Do1NiceThing is for everyone - Jesus said "love your neighbour as you love yourself" - think how warm you feel inside when someone says hello or smiles or does something nice for you - Love Your Streets ~ #Do1NiceThing encourages you to help someone else feel warm and loved and wanted through your actions! What a great thing to do! Here are the groups who are promoting this:

Neighbourhood Prayer Network : Bringing Prayer to our Neighbours, Bringing Community Back to our Streets. We hope you will join an increasing number of people, in praying for your neighbours, living on your street. We are aiming to get every street in the UK covered in prayer, and to encourage people, if they are able, to get to know their neighbours. We believe prayer changes things for the better. We expect to see, as more people pray, loneliness falling, crime falling and community returning. Anything is possible with God, are you willing to take up the Neighbourhood Prayer challenge? Web Site

Our vision is for a society founded on trust and respect where people live in communities that are safe and enjoy a good quality of life. We aim to improve community life by listening to and supporting our grassroots members and ensuring their voices are heard at a national level. Web Site

Redeeming Our Communities

Picture
Redeeming Our Communities was launched in 2004 with an aim to be a catalyst for community transformation. This is achieved through promoting partnerships which open up more opportunities for crime and disorder reduction and enhanced community cohesion. Redeeming Our Communities works with community groups, churches, the police, the fire service, local authorities and voluntary agencies to encourage them to work together in positive partnership for practical change. Two successful elements of ROC are ROC Cafe - a multi-agency young people's work - and ROC Conversations - community forums which produce action lists towards changed communities. Web Site
